It’s where dog owners come together, learn from each other, and offer support through the ups and downs of dog ownership.
We know every dog is different, and so is every journey. That’s why, alongside our community, we provide helpful, easy-to-digest content on everything from behavior tips to building a stronger bond with your pup. Think of it as your go-to spot for both expert advice and real-life experiences.
At Barklopedia, it’s not just about information – it’s about connection. We’re here to support each other and make life with dogs a little easier, one wag at a time.

Our Story
Let me introduce myself – I’m Hannah and Barklopedia started with Rocket, my energetic rescue pup. I adopted him in the summer of 2023 when he was 1.5 years old. Rocket had already been through two previous homes, and it didn’t take long for me to notice his reactivity – he was nervous around strangers, other dogs, bikes, and really anything that made noise. He’d often bark and lunge out of fear.
At first, I felt a little alone in all of this. Dog ownership wasn’t as simple as I’d imagined, it definitely wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows. I wasn’t sure how to help Rocket, and every dog I saw at the park seemed perfect. Meanwhile, I was struggling to manage his behavior, and honestly, I felt a bit out of my depth.
But over time, we’ve worked through a lot together – training, building trust, and finding ways to help Rocket feel more confident. It’s still a work in progress, but every little win has made it all worth it. Rocket’s journey is what inspired me to start Barklopedia: a place for dog owners who might be feeling the same way I did – lost, overwhelmed, or unsure of where to turn for help.
And equally, I wanted to create a space to share all the good stuff too – the funny, heartwarming moments that make dog ownership so special. Since adopting Rocket, I’ve become totally obsessed with everything about him—how he sleeps, how he eats, his quirky little personality. I realized this attachment is something all dog owners share. These little creatures we choose to welcome into our homes quickly become our world.
Barklopedia is here to celebrate that bond. It’s a place where we can laugh about the chaos, share the wins, and support each other through the tougher moments. Whether you’re dealing with behavioral challenges or just want to connect over the pure joy of being a dog owner, Barklopedia is here for all of it.
